Zelenskyy clarifies Ukrainian spy chief's statement on potential Russian offensive from north
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has commented on a statement by Kyrylo Budanov, Head of Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU), that Russia will attempt to attack Ukraine's territory from the north in the coming months.

Details: Zelenskyy explained that he and the military leadership believe serious efforts have been made in Kharkiv Oblast to prevent a major Russian offensive from the north.
He said Ukrainian troops have successfully stopped Russian forces which had been relocated to the Kharkiv front from various areas, preventing the Russians from consolidating into a significant grouping on the other side of the border. "This information comes directly from our country's intelligence agencies," the president stated.
Background: On 13 July, Kyrylo Budanov, Head of DIU, said in an interview with Ukrainian news magazine NV that Russia would try to attack Ukraine's territory from the north in the coming months.
