Details: Additional funding will complement the €150 million already allocated by the Netherlands for arming the F-16s that will be sent to Ukraine and will be used to procure the equipment directly from the industry.
"With the ammunition we’ll procure the F-16s may help repel Russian attacks. Putin’s aggression knows no limits, so our support must continue at full speed," Ruben Brekelmans, the Dutch Defence Minister, commented.
"By procuring this supplementary ammunition for the F-16s, we want to send a signal to Moscow that the NATO allies will keep supporting Ukraine. Russia must not win this war, and this is also done for the sake of our security," he added.
