Russians lose 260 soldiers and 40 pieces of equipment over past day in Kharkiv Oblast – Ukrainian General Staff

The Russians have carried out 11 attacks over the past day on the Kharkiv front and lost 260 soldiers and 40 pieces of equipment. The General Staff of the Armed Forces has reported that defensive and stabilisation measures are underway in the town of Vovchansk.

Quote: "The enemy continued offensive actions on the Kharkiv front and carried out 11 attacks over the last day. Fighting took place in the areas of Lyptsi, Slobozhanske, Starytsia and Vovchansk.

Ukrainian troops are continuing to carry out defensive and stabilisation measures in Vovchansk and keep the situation there under control. The enemy is under fire from artillery and attack UAVs."

Details: Lykhovii said that over the past 24 hours, the Russians had lost approximately 260 people in killed and wounded personnel and 40 pieces of military equipment in Kharkiv Oblast.

• Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that Russian troops had launched a new wave of offensive operations on the Kharkiv front.
• Ukraine's Defence Ministry reported that reserve units had been sent to the north of Kharkiv Oblast.
• The Russians have captured up to 10 villages in Kharkiv Oblast. The Khortytsia Operational Strategic Group has said that the grey zone in Kharkiv Oblast was not expanding and that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were not letting Russian forces advance further into Kharkiv Oblast.
• Ukraine's Defence Forces have stopped Russian attempts to break through the defences on the Kharkiv front. The situation has been somewhat stabilised, but fighting continues.
