Missile shot down near Kryvyi Rih

The Defence Forces have shot down a Russian missile in the Kryvyi Rih district, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

Details: At 16:55, the Air Force reported that an air-raid warning in Kherson, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia Oblasts was related to the activity of Russian tactical aircraft. This was followed by a message saying "Kryvyi Rih - take shelter!"

Serhii Lysak, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Military Administration, later said that air defence systems were operating in the Kryvyi Rih district.

"Our defenders have shot down an enemy missile," he wrote.

Later, Oleksandr Vilkul, Head of the Kryvyi Rih Defence Council, clarified that a unit of Air Command Skhid (East) had shot down a Kh-59 guided missile over the district.

"There were no attacks in the Kryvyi Rih district. But in the evening, the enemy carried out another missile attack: a unit of Air Command Skhid (East) destroyed a Kh-59 guided missile over the territory of the district," he wrote.
