Ukrainian forces curtail some operations amid ammunition shortage and cutbacks in Western aid – senior military official

Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, Commander of the Tavriia Operational and Strategic Grouping of Ukrainian Forces, has told Reuters that the Ukrainian army has faced a shortage of artillery munitions and has curtailed some military operations due to a lack of foreign aid.

Quote: "There's a problem with ammunition, especially post-Soviet (shells) - that's 122 mm, 152 mm. And today these problems exist across the entire front line. The volumes that we have today are not sufficient for us today, given our needs. So, we're redistributing it. We're replanning tasks that we had set for ourselves and making them smaller because we need to provide for them."

Details: The commander specified that the Ukrainian troops on the southeastern front have gone on the defensive in some areas while attempting to advance in others.

The military official added that Russian forces are also facing ammunition shortages, although he did not elaborate.
