3 strikes in Russia's Kursk Oblast, compressor station and power line damaged

Roman Starovoit, governor of Kursk Oblast in the Russian Federation, has claimed that the Dmitrievsky and Zheleznogorsky districts were attacked by drones.

Details: Starovoit said that there were three strikes on the village of Krupets, Dmitrievsky District. According to early reports, fences, windows, and roofs were damaged in eight houses. 

The area near the railway station in the town of Dmitriev was also hit, damaging the compressor station. 

In  Zheleznogorsky District, drones damaged a power transmission line supplying one of the facilities at the Mikhailovsky mining and processing plant. Emergency crews arrived at the scene to repair the damage.

There were no casualties.

Background:

  • On the evening of 15 December, Starovoit claimed that air defence systems had shot down four drones in the skies over Kursk.
  • Ukrainska Pravda’s sources in Ukrainian Defence Intelligence stated that the "visit" by the drones to Kursk Oblast is a continuation of the "planned work" by Defence Intelligence.
