Asked whether the delivery of the first batch of ATACMS meant that the US would continue to provide them regularly and in larger quantities, Kuleba answered in the affirmative.
According to the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, this is a direct result of the agreements between presidents Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Joe Biden, which were reached in Washington during their meeting in late September.
"If you read between the lines of President Zelensky's speech after the meeting with Biden, you could understand that a very important decision was made... So thank you to the United States for implementing the agreements and strengthening our firepower," Kuleba said.
He also hopes that Ukraine will receive ATACMS missiles capable of hitting targets at the distance of 300 kilometres.
According to The New York Times, so far, the United States has transferred about 20 long-range ATACMS missiles to Ukraine.
On Tuesday, Zelenskyy said that Ukrainian forces used American long-range ATACMS missiles to strike the airfields of the Russian occupiers in captured Berdiansk and Luhansk.
Subsequently, this information was confirmed by the White House. They noted that the United States "recently" provided Ukraine with an ATACMS type capable of striking at a distance of up to 165 kilometres.
