Quote from Ukroboronprom: "Our guys on the front line received another delivery, artillery fragmentation 82-mm mines produced by Ukroboronprom. This is probably one of the best unpackings we have ever seen. To be continued."
Details: Ukroboronprom showed a video of soldiers opening a box with ammunition and equipping a 2B9 Vasilek automatic mortar with 82 mm calibre mines.
In January 2023, Ukroboronprom announced that the production of 82-mm fragmentation mines had begun abroad. Serial production has been established at the facilities of one of the NATO member countries.
The manufacturer claimed that the ammunition had been improved. Ukroboronprom reported that during the tests, the number of shrapnels that caused death recorded on the shields of the targets and on the site of the target was 2-2.5 times more than what a regular mine should have.
According to the standard, during the blow up of a standard mine, the number of fragments that should hit the target at a distance of 5 metres need to reach 198 units, at a distance of 10 metres – 70, and at a distance of 15 metres – 41 units.
"There are 460, 140, and 69 shrapnels in mines, which have been improved by the specialists of the Ukroboronprom enterprises," say representatives of the concern.
