Ukrainian pilots need, among other things, air-to-air guided missiles to increase the range of their attacks, a need which can be covered by Western fighter jets.

Quote:  "The first thing we need is to increase the range that our radar and targeting systems can see. The second is air-to-air guided missiles with a much longer range than we currently have. That's why we really need F-16s, which could be a gamechanger in this".

Details: In his opinion, after Ukraine’s victory, the country will have Western-style jets, and will modernise both the equipment and the training system.

Quote: "The industrial capacities that we have must be implemented and developed, together with Western companies. Of course, we are inferior in electronics and aircraft equipment, but we have tremendous experience in the design of gliders, in rocket engineering and in the production of engines. To make the perfect product, we need to combine our experience with that of the West."
