Details: The police have reported that a resident of the capital has noticed items that looked like fragments of a Russian UAV’s engine on the sidelines among the trees. The man called 102 [a nation-wide number for calling the police – ed.]. Inspectors arrived at the scene and called demolition experts and investigators.

The police have repeatedly asked that citizens do not touch items that look like pieces of missiles or drones themselves. It is prohibited to move such items, disassemble them, take photos and post them online.

Background:

  • Russians attacked Kyiv with 23 Iranian-made Shahed kamikaze drones on the night of 18-19 December; 18 of these drones were shot down. The city’s infrastructure facility took some damage in the attack.
  • Three people reportedly suffered injuries. There are emergency shutdowns in the power grid because of the damage to infrastructure.
