A British street art star keeps bringing Ukrainians some joy by confirming his visit.

This time, Banksy has posted a video of him drawing on walls of destroyed residential buildings in Kyiv Oblast on his Instagram page.

He has chosen the Chervona Ruta song by Volodymyr Ivasiuk, performed by two women on a bandura [Ukrainian folk instrument – ed.] as a music accompaniment for this video. The women also appear in the video.

An air raid siren sounds in the recording, too. Residents of Kyiv Oblast and the city of Kyiv recollect events of the war and comment on the artist’s works. Some people can’t hold back their outrage.

Fans of Banksy noticed his first works at Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square) in Kyiv and in the city of Borodianka (Kyiv Oblast). Later, the artist himself confirmed his authorship of seven works in Kyiv, Hostomel, Irpin, and Borodianka.

Banksy is a pseudonym of an artist, or a group of artists, who draw their stencil graffiti all over the world. Those are sarcastic drawings, for which Banksy creates a template first in order to place it on a wall and escape from the police, if needed.
