National border areas of Sumy Oblast shelled from Russia, power system damaged

On 1 November, the Sumy region was shelled again: Russian troops sent almost a hundred shells and bombs to the border territories.

Quote from Zhyvytskyy: "The enemy sent almost a hundred shells and bombs to the border of our oblast today. The Russians fired on six hromadas [hromada – an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories – ed.]."

Details: Shalyhyne hromada: Russians shelled the outskirts of one of the border villages with mortars. There were 17 explosions in total. No damage.

Velyka Pysarivka hromada: also a mortar attack from the territory of the Russian Federation on the border (12 strikes). Shrapnel damaged a civilian car. 

The Russians shelled Yunakivka hromada twice. 

During the day, artillery shelling from a self-propelled system (20 strikes) continued there for more than an hour. 

In the evening, the Russians continued to shoot with self-propelled artillery. Plus 17 more strikes. The power system is damaged.

The Russians fired mortars at the Nova Sloboda hromada. Two civilian homes were damaged. One person who was injured is now in the hospital. 

And in one of the farms, shrapnel killed a horse. 

Hlukhiv hromada was shelled by rocket artillery (MLRS). There were 15 strikes. No damage. 

Myropillia hromada: a mortar attack (10 strikes) was conducted in the vicinity of one of the villages from 20 o'clock. As of 21:00, the shelling continued.
