Details: Over the course of the day, Russian aircraft made over 40 sorties and conducted over 12 missile strikes and over 12 air strikes on various targets in Ukraine.
These attacks damaged infrastructure in areas in and around Velyki Prokhody, Starovirivka, Yurivka, Temyrivka, Ternovi Pody, Sukhyi Stavok, Barvinok and Bilohirka.
In addition, the Russian army continued to attack military and civilian infrastructure across various Ukrainian fronts using tanks, combat vehicles and tubed and rocket artillery. Russian forces struck the following towns and villages:
- on the Sivershchyna front: areas in and around Senkivka, Bleshnia and Hai (Chernihiv Oblast) and Stukalivka, Zapsillia, Khodyne, Myropilske and Velykyi Prykil (Sumy Oblast);
- on the Kharkiv front: areas in and around Duvanka, Udy, Prudianka, Velyki Prokhody, Ruski Tyshky, Staryi Saltiv, Cherkaski Tyshky and Petrivka;
- on the Sloviansk front: areas in and around Sloviansk, Dolyna, Krasnopillia, Dmytrivka, Virnopillia and Mykilske;
- on the Kramatorsk front: areas near Bohorodychne, Verkhnokamianske, Siversk, Hryhorivka, Rozdolivka and Ivano-Darivka;
- on the Bakhmut front: areas in and around New-York, Zaitseve, Vesela Dolyna, Maiorsk, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut and Vesele;
- on the Avdiivka front: areas in the vicinity of Avdiivka, Opytne, Pervomaiske, Krasnohorivka and Pisky;
- on the Novopavlivka front: areas near Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Paraskoviivka, Mykilske, Velyki Novosilky, Kurakhove and Pavlivka;
- on the Zaporizhzhia front: areas in and around Novoandriivka, Orikhove, Novodanylivka and Novopillia;
- on the Pivdennyi Buh front, the Russian forces used tubed and rocket artillery to fire on Ukrainian positions along the entire contact line.
Moreover, Russian forces deployed UAVs to conduct extensive aerial reconnaissance, making a total of over 60 sorties.
The morale and the psychological condition of Russian soldiers have markedly deteriorated, and instances of desertion have become more common, due to significant losses sustained by the Russian army and a lack of willingness to participate in combat. On the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Oblast, near the village of Babenivka Druha, Russian forces were forced to deploy helicopters and weapons in order to search for deserters and to return them to combat positions. Unarmed Russian soldiers are also being transported, by bus, to temporarily Russian-occupied Crimea via Kalanchak.
Units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces are maintaining their positions and preventing the Russian forces from advancing further into the territory of Ukraine. Ukrainian soldiers have successfully repelled attacks in areas near Kostiantynivka, Prudianka, Ruski Tyshky, Virnopillia, Mykolaivka Druha, Zaitseve, Avdiivka, Kamianka, Pobieda and Bezimenne.
Over the course of the day, the aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force supported the actions of the Ukrainian ground troops by carrying out over 10 strikes on Russian strong points on the Donetsk and Pivdennyi Buh fronts, destroying Russian military equipment and anti-aircraft defence systems, and killing a significant number of Russian military personnel.
Ukrainian air defence units shot down at least two Russian UAVs on different fronts.
In addition, the firing missions carried out by the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed or damaged three Russian command and control points and a pontoon crossing and struck 28 areas where Russian military personnel and equipment were concentrated. Russian ammunition storage points and artillery positions also came under Ukrainian fire. The losses sustained by Russian forces have yet to be confirmed.
