Most of the bodies exhumed in Izium were civilian – head of Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration

In Izium, Kharkiv Oblast, which was liberated on 10 September, 146 bodies have already been exhumed, the vast majority of which belonged to civilians.

Quote: "The exhumation of the bodies of the killed from the mass burial site in Izyum continues. At this time, 146 bodies have been exhumed, the vast majority of which are civilian, including two children.

Some of the dead have signs of violent death; there are bodies with tied hands and signs of torture. The deceased were also found to have been wounded by exploded mines, shrapnel, and stab wounds."

Details: Syniehubov noted that all of the bodies are being sent for forensic medical examination to determine the final cause of death.

He asserted that the whole world should know about the terrible crimes of the Russian occupiers in Kharkiv Oblast.

He assured readers that the evidence collected by the Ukrainian authorities will definitely be used in international courts to punish war criminals.

The head of the Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration thanked the National Police, Prosecutor's office, employees of the State Emergency Service, specialists from the Security Service of Ukraine, forensic medical experts, doctors, and all those involved in this exhumation, as well as media representatives, for their increased work.
