Armed Forces of Ukraine destroy 2 Russian ammunition storage points and strike Nova Kakhovka pontoon crossing – Operational Command Pivden (South)

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have destroyed two Russian ammunition storage points, one in Blahodatne and the other in Kherson.

Details: Russia’s losses in Southern Ukraine on 18 September amounted to 29 military personnel, two self-propelled Msta-S howitzers and one Msta-B howitzer [both of these are 152-mm]. Ukrainian aircraft destroyed a command vehicle and a BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle.

In total, Ukrainian aircraft conducted 11 airstrikes on Russian forces. Ukraine’s rocket artillery units carried out a further 200 firing missions. In particular, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck:

  • Russian storage points in the Bashtanka district, in Mykolaiv Oblast;
  • Two Russian command and control posts and several air defence systems in the Beryslav and Kakhovka districts, Kherson Oblast;
  • A concentration of Russian weapons and equipment near Lvove;
  • An electronic warfare system near Kherson;
  • A pontoon crossing in Nova Kakhovka.
