Dmytro Kuleba, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, said that today he told the details of the draft security guarantees for Ukraine, which the Ukrainian president’s office presented to its Lithuanian and Irish colleagues yesterday.

According to European Pravda, Kuleba announced this on Twitter after a meeting with the foreign ministers of Lithuania and Ireland, held in Odesa.

"My colleagues Gabrielius Landsbergis and Simon Coveney became the first foreign ministers to whom I presented the Kyiv security compact, which was prepared by Andrii Yermak and Anders Fogh Rasmussen. We will continue to work closely with our partners to provide reliable security guarantees for Ukraine," Kuleba wrote.

Background: On 13 September, The Office of the President of Ukraine presented its vision of security guarantees for Ukraine, which were developed by a group of international advisers headed by Anders Fogh Rasmussen, the former NATO Secretary General. According to the plan, this system should provide Ukraine with protection before it acceded to NATO, but it will continue to operate after that since it is broader than the Alliance's mechanisms.

EuroPravda describes this project in detail in the article, Guarantees from Yermak and Rasmussen: what kind of security scheme of Ukraine will the Ukrainian president’s office promote?
