Five IAEA representatives to remain at ZNPP – IAEA Director General

Rafael Grossi, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, has said that representatives of the IAEA will remain at the ZNPP.

Details: Grossi has said that the mission managed to collect enough important information during a few hours of work at the nuclear power plant, without elaborating on the details.
According to Grossi, the IAEA representatives will remain at the ZNPP in Enerhodar until 3 September, and then decide on the issue of the permanent presence of its observers in the area of the plant.
Updated at 17:50: Grossi left the ZNPP. Later, Energoatom reported that 5 representatives of the IAEA will remain at the ZNPP.
Background:
- An International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) mission arrived at the nuclear power plant in the Russian-controlled town of Enerhodar in the afternoon of 1 September, despite reports of intense shelling in the area.

- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine stated that the actions of the Russian army endangered the work of the mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency, which is heading for the occupied ZNPP.
