SSU arrests an artillery observer targeting airfields and railway stations in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

DETENTION OF THE ARTILLERY OBSERVER IN DNIPROPETROVSK OBLAST, SSU

The Security Service of Ukraine has arrested an agent of the Russian FSB [Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation] who was collecting information to adjust the shelling of airfields and train stations in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast and transmitting information to occupation forces about the deployment of Ukrainian units.

Quote from Prosecutor’s Office: "While carrying out the tasks of representatives of the FSB of the Russian Federation, the man collected and transmitted to them information about the location of military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the movement of military equipment, the number and direction of their movement, and the location of railway stations and airfields in the territory of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The informant transmitted data, photos and video recordings through Telegram messenger."

Details: According to the SSU, in his reports he described each object and the surrounding territory in detail, as well as indicated its coordinates with photo and video recording. The occupiers used this information to carry out the sabotage and massive shelling of Ukrainian infrastructure.

The SSU added that the suspect is an employee of one of Dnipro's private security firms. He was detained while performing another task for the FSB. The man has been notified of suspicion of treason.
