Military training for civilians begins in Kyiv

Military exercises for civilians have begun in Kyiv in order to increase the city’s level of protection.

Details: Employees of municipal services and regional state administrations of the capital are undergoing military training exercises.
The lesson plan includes training in:
- handling firearms and procedures for when under enemy fire
- battlefield medicine
- engineering and procedures for handling explosive objects
- ensuring civil protection of the population
- actions in case of radiation and chemical pollution
Klychko has emphasised that the city will later involve all those willing to participate in such training.
The training is being organised in every district of the capital.
Background:
- A joint training centre for training units of the Territorial Defence and Municipal Security of the capital is operating in Kyiv.
- The capital authorities plan to expand the national resistance training program, developing training for all categories of the civilian population, in particular for women, university students and high school students.
