Kharkiv Oblast: Russian attacks cause fires in school, auto repair station and wheat field

Over the course of Sunday, 3 July, rescuers attended to 10 fires in Kharkiv Oblast that broke out as a result of Russian attacks.

Details: Five fires caused by Russian attacks on Kharkiv Oblast broke out in the Kharkiv district, two in the Izium district, two in the Chuhuiv district, and one in the Shevchenkivskyi neighbourhood of the city of Kharkiv.

The fires broke out in a school, an auto repair station, a three-storey residential building, an outbuilding, and a garage as well as among coniferous litter, dry grass, and a wheat field with a total area of 30 hectares.

Quote from the Kharkiv Oblast SES: "Last night [on the night of 2-3 July - ed.], a [Russian - ed.] missile strike caused a fire in the building of an educational establishment in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city of Kharkiv.

A three-storey building sustained serious damage. The fire spread over a total area of 60 square metres. Six firefighting appliances and 30 SES personnel were involved in extinguishing the fire.
