Ukrainian Armed Forces repel Russian assault on Bakhmut front – General Staff report

Russian forces attempted to conduct an assault operation on the Bakhmut front (in the Dolomitne – Novoluhanske and Dolomitne – Semyhiria areas), but the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled the Russian assaults.

Details: Also on the Bakhmut front, Russian forces have resumed their offensive against the Vuhlehirska Thermal Power Plant after having regrouped. Fighting is continuing there. Russian aircraft conducted airstrikes near Berestove and New-York. In addition, Russian forces used artillery to fire at the areas around Berestove, Soledar, Zvanivka and Semyhiria.

Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled Russian assaults around Spirne – Ivanov-Dariivka on the Donetsk front, where the Russians also fired at the areas around Zakitne, Siversk, Hryhorivka, Tetianivka, Donetske, and Raihorodok.

In order to make the Ukrainian troops on the Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivka, and Zaporizhzhia fronts surrender their positions, Russian aircraft conducted airstrikes near Avdiivka. Russian forces also used artillery to fire at the areas around Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, Novomykhailivka, Pavlivka, Zolota Nyva, Vremivka, Novopil, Zaliznychne, Novoyakovlivka, and Malynivka.

There were no significant changes on the Volyn and Polissia fronts.

Russian forces used mortars to fire on the positions of Ukrainian troops on the Sivershchyna front, near Zarutske, Starykove and Budivelne (in Sumy Oblast).

On the Kharkiv front, Russia’s main efforts are focused on preventing the Ukrainian Armed Forces from advancing. Russian aircraft conducted an airstrike near Mospanove, while Russian forces fired at Kharkiv, Pytomnyk, Novopokrovka, Protopivka, Ruski Tyshky, Duvanka, and Korobochkyne using artillery.

On the Sloviansk front, Russian aircraft conducted an airstrike near Bohorodychne. Russian artillery fired at Dibrovne, Chepil, Kostiantynivka, Novomykolaivka, Mazanivka, Bohorodychne, Mykilske, and Husarivka.

On the Pivdennyi Buh front, Russian forces deployed UAVs to conduct aerial reconnaissance and used artillery to fire at the areas around Osokorivka, Trudoliubivka, Partyzanske, Pervomaiske, Blahodatne, Murakhivka, Kvitneve, Olenivka, Stepova Dolyna, Oleksandrivka and Tavriiske.

Russian occupying forces are trying to restore the ports on the coast of the Azov Sea in order to be able to resume exports by sea of stolen Ukrainian property.

Three Russian naval high-precision missile carriers remain on standby in the waters of the Black and Azov seas.
