Chasiv Yar: the bodies of 43 victims have been removed from under the rubble

Rescuers have removed 43 bodies from under the rubble of a destroyed high-rise building in the city of Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region.

Quote: "As of 18:00, the bodies of 43 dead, including 1 child (a boy about 9 years old) have been discovered and removed from the rubble of a five-story residential building destroyed by shelling in the city of Chasiv Yar; 9 people have been rescued from under the rubble; more than 420 tonnes of building debris have been cleared and examined; the work is ongoing."
Details: In total there are 57 people and 8 pieces of equipment working at the scene. The local authorities have provided two mobile cranes and two loaders. There is an ambulance on duty nearby.
As of 15:00 Tuesday, rescuers reported that they had recovered the bodies of 38 people.
Background:
- On 9 July, the occupiers launched an attack on Chasiv Yar and hit an apartment block.
- The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation has claimed that a missile strike on Chasiv Yar in Donetsk Oblast "killed more than three hundred nationalists".
