Twenty-four cruise missiles and 11 unmanned aerial vehicles fired by the Russians have been shot down in the Lviv region since the start of a full-scale Russian offensive.

Source: Andrii Hodyk, the First Deputy Head of the Lviv Oblast Military Administration, at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine

Quote from Hodyk: "Given the resources that they (the military of the Zakhid [West] Air Command - ed.) have, they are doing a fantastic job. We are cooperating with them in various areas. This is financing the repair of anti-missile systems, technical re-equipment of the command and analytical centre, as well as our initiative, "Shchos letyt" [Something is Flying] application [people can report in a special Telegram chat if they have seen something suspicious in the sky, and the Ukrainian defenders will check it out], which also helps our sky defenders detect and work effectively on those air targets that pose a threat to civilians in the Lviv region."

Details: The deputy head of Lviv Oblast Military Administration specified that the last Russian missile was neutralised by the military in June.

According to Hodyk, the risk of invasion by Belarusian troops has not disappeared, but the Lviv region is ready for this attack.

He clarified that preparations are continuing, in particular, with building the additional defence and engineering networks.

Background:

It was reported earlier that law enforcement officers detained a resident of Lviv who was correcting the occupiers’ missile strikes on the territory of Lviv region, and in particular, on the Yavoriv test site, where 61 people died.
