General Staff: Russian troops seek to create conditions for offensive on Mykolaiv and Kryvyi Rih

Russian troops are launching assaults to reach the administrative borders of the Kherson region and create favourable conditions for an offensive on the cities of Mykolaiv and Kryvyi Rih.

According to the General Staff: "The command of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continues to take measures to improve the potential of its troops in order to intensify the pace of the offensive operation.
Weapons and other military equipment that were withdrawn from storage in the Western, Central, and Eastern Military Districts and the Northern Fleet [of the Russian Federation] are now being transferred to regions bordering Ukraine by rail."
Details: Russian troops did not take any active action on the Volyn and Polissia fronts – there were no changes there.
Certain units of the Armed Forces of Belarus continue to patrol the border with Ukraine in the Brest and Gomel Regions of Belarus.
There is still a threat of Russia carrying out missile strikes on Ukraine’s military and civilian infrastructure from the territory of Belarus, as well as a threat of Belarusian border guards carrying out provocations on the Ukrainian border.
On the Siverskyi front, units of Russian troops shelled the positions of soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Russia’s Bryansk Region.
On the Slobozhanskyi front, a grouping of Russian forces continues to carry out air strikes and artillery fire on the city of Kharkiv. Russian troops are conducting offensive operations on Izium, the Barvinkove - Izium line, and Sloviansk fronts.
Russia continues to strengthen its military potential in Ukraine. Up to 300 weapons and units of military equipment have been transferred to Ukraine, and about 1,000 soldiers have been mobilised from the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk Regions.
In order to provide air cover for the advancing troops in 4 designated areas, Russian troops deployed 2 anti-aircraft missile divisions armed with the Buk-M2 and Tor-M surface-to-air missile systems.
On the Donetsk and Tavriia fronts, groups of Russian troops are conducting active operations along the entire line of contact. They attempt to strike the positions of Ukrainian troops from the air and with artillery fire.
On the Lyman front, Russian troops are advancing toward Krymka and Oleksandrivka.
On the Popasna front, Russian occupation forces are carrying out assault operations on Novotoshkivske and Orikhove. They are establishing their positions in previously captured territories. In order to prevent the manoeuvring of Ukrainian forces, Russian troops are blocking them in certain areas.
On the Kurakhiv front, with the support of artillery, Russian troops are trying to break through the defences of Ukrainian troops on the Olenivka - Novomykhailivka line.
On the Pivdennyi Bug front, Russian troops are fighting to reach the administrative borders of the Kherson region and create favourable conditions for an assault on the cities of Mykolaiv and Kryvyi Rih.
On Saturday, 30 April, Ukrainian air defence units shot down 9 air targets: 2 Su-25 planes and 7 UAVs.
In Donetsk and Luhansk Regions alone, 9 enemy attacks were repulsed in the past 24 hours; 8 Russian tanks, 1 artillery system, 24 units of armoured combat equipment, 1 special vehicle and 5 vehicles (including 2 tankers) were also destroyed.
