Over 400 people have gone missing in Hostomel in 35 days of occupation. Eyewitness accounts indicate that some have died, but their whereabouts are still unknown.

Source: Taras Dumenko, Head of Hostomel village Military Administration, on "Hromadske" Radio.

According to Dumenko: "We know about the people who have been killed, there is proof, photo and video recordings, but we still cannot find them. When there was mobile telephone service, eyewitnesses managed to share this information with us. However, we still can't find them now. The source of the information managed to get away."

Details: It has been reported that Russians have abducted a man and a son from the family of a doctor in Hostomel. They have not been found yet. Local authorities are also looking for the body of the Head of the Hostomel airport fire service.

Russian troops have killed village head Yurii Prylypko in Hostomel and also volunteers Ruslan Karpenko and Ivan Zorya, whose bodies have been found, were killed along with him.

According to Taras Dumenko, the Russians were "cleaning up the traces of their atrocities": "You could move towards Hostomel and see shot-up cars along the road with bodies, including children. However, when you went back, these bodies were gone. My hypothesis is that the calmer the aggressors felt in an area, the further they were from the front line, the more carefully they covered their tracks."

The community has about 5,000 residents today.

Background: The Kyiv region was liberated from the Russians on 2 April.
