Zelenskyy on Russian atrocities in Bucha: Thugs and torturers

In light of the atrocities committed by Russian troops in Bucha, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine rebuked NATO for delaying Ukraine’s invitation to join the Alliance. He also sternly addressed Russian mothers.

According to Zelenskyy: "The NATO Summit Declaration at Bucharest. On 3 April, 14 years ago today. There was a chance to prevent this. To prevent Russia’s coming.
Bucha, Kyiv region. Now. Russia has come.
I recommend that Russian mothers look at this. Look at the bastards you’ve raised. Murderers, looters, butchers."
Background: NATO’s 2008 Summit in Bucharest is often considered to be an unfortunate occasion for Ukraine. The Ukrainian government had hoped to obtain an Alliance Membership Action Plan (MAP), but this decision was not supported by some of the Allies, including France and Germany.
