Senior Ukrainian Presidential Advisor Mykhailo Podoliak insists that the blood of the civilians who are killed by Russian bombs in the last intact bunkers in Mariupol will be on the hands of the whole world.

Mykhailo Podoliak quote: "Day 55 of the war. Russia continues to drop heavy anti-tank bombs on Azovstal. The world continues to watch the murder of children being broadcast live and remains silent.

Religious and world leaders can stop this if they arrange for a green corridor. Otherwise they will also have blood on their hands."

Details: The bunkers in Mariupol’s Azovstal plant are the last bomb shelters to withstand the attacks of the Russian aggressors and are controlled by Ukrainian defenders. Civilians who had not managed to evacuate through safe corridors to Ukraine, and who had not been forced to Russian filtration camps at gunpoint, are sheltering in those bunkers. Their drinking water and food supplies have virtually run out.

The territory of the plant remains the last district of Mariupol that has not surrendered under the attacks of the Russian aggressors.

The photos shared by Podoliak show children, including infants, and their mothers hiding in a bunker.

Background:

For the third time since the beginning of April, the Russian aggressors have asked Ukrainian defenders to lay down their arms and surrender.

Deputy Mayor of Mariupol Petro Andriushchenko said that the Russians had been dropping heavy bombs on the territory of the Azovstal plant, where civilians and Ukrainian defenders are sheltering.

The US Embassy in Ukraine said that Vladimir Putin and the Russian invaders were doing exactly what they did during the Chechen wars.

The Russian aggressors are holding at least 27,000 people from Mariupol in "filtration camps", where displaced Ukrainians are deprived of Ukrainian citizenship and their mobile phones in order to be forcibly deported to the Russian hinterland.

The Azov Regiment has asked for a "green corridor" from Mariupol to evacuate civilians from the bunkers and take dead bodies and the wounded out. The Russians cynically refused.
