After the withdrawal of Russian troops from the territory of northern Ukraine, Belarusian journalists spotted a series of cars without licence plates, but marked with the V sign, that sometimes accompany convoys with special signals.

Details: Belarusian journalists received numerous photo and video reports of cars without licence plates, but marked with the V sign on the sides and bumpers driving on Belarusian roads.
In a photo obtained by the Bjelaruski Gajun journalists, a truck moving along an intercity highway in Belarus without a licence plate advertised Havrylivski Kurchata, a Ukrainian brand; at the same time, its sides were marked with the V sign.
Journalists have also spotted Kia Sportage, VW Crafter, and Peugeot Partner cars moving in a convoy with other cars that had special signs.
There are also photos of cars without licence plates and with the V sign that were not part of any convoys. Nasha Niva readers had already been sending photographs of such vehicles in March: some of them were parked in the courtyards of apartment blocks in different Belarusian cities.
Nasha Niva notes that driving a car without a licence plate is a violation of the Belarusian traffic rules. There are additional questions about how such cars are checked at the border between Ukraine and Belarus.
Ukrainian authorities and social media users have reported numerous cases of car dealership looting by Russian troops in the occupied territories of Ukraine, as well as incidents of the theft of Ukrainians’ personal cars.
Background: Earlier, journalists recorded how Russian soldiers used the Russian delivery service SDEK to send goods plundered in Ukraine back to Russia via Belarusian branches of the delivery service.
