"If you don’t have the strength, the firmness to close the sky, then give me planes. Give me planes. If we fall, God forbid, next will be Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia. Next will be Georgia, Moldova, Poland. And they will go to the Berlin Wall," Zelenskyy said.

Most of the countries he mentioned are NATO members, but that does not mean that if Russia invades one, it will fight with the entire Alliance.

"I want to thank the countries that are supporting us and giving us weapons. But this happened late. The timeline that we talked about and asked for, this timeline costs thousands of Ukrainians’ lives, the president added.

On Sunday, the European Union announced that it had approved a €450 million military aid package, while the EU’s top diplomat, Josep Borrell also said that several countries are prepared to offer military planes.

However, Poland, Bulgaria and Slovakia later official denied information that they would give Ukraine planes.

On Wednesday, Dmytro Kuleba said that Ukraine was continuing negotiations with European countries regarding the provision of military aircraft to combat the Russian invasion.
