Kyiv Judge ‘Caught Taking ₴3.7 Million Bribe’

A Judge of the Dnipro District Court of Kyiv was caught taking a bribe totaling $150,000 (about ₴3.7 million), alleges a NABU press service report.
According to journalist Yuriy Butusov, this statement is about judge Mykola Chaus. MP Mustafa Nayyem confirms the identity of the judge.
Mykola Chaus was a judge during the hearings against Maidan activists in 2013–2014 and many other cases that drew a lot of media attention.
If proven guilty, the judge could go to jail for eight to twelve years, be suspended from certain official positions for three years, and have his property confiscated. An investigation is underway.
