E-Declarations Will Start at Midnight Despite ‘Lack of Data Protection’
The National Agency for Prevention of Corruption (NAPC) unanimously voted to start operating full-scale e-declarations of public officials’ incomes and assets, European Pravda correspondent reports from NAPC meeting.
At the same time, Korchak acknowledged that the Agency currently does not have a certificate from the State Service of Special Communication Information Protection of Ukraine (SSCIP) necessary to launch the e-declarations system, but refused to reconsider the decision to launch the system at midnight on August 15.
Korchak approved a joint statement that blames the software developers, Miranda company, for the issues that took place in the process of certification. One of the NAPC members, Ruslan Riaboshapka, said that NAPC was deliberately breaking the law on information protection, and said he waived his support of the joint statement.
