Poroshenko Ensures That Electronic Declaration Will Be Launched on August 15

President Petro Poroshenko announced that the obligatory electronic declaration of the property and funds of officials will be launched on August 15 as planned, according to the statement on the President’s official website.
The President sees electronic declaration as "effective means of control" of income and spending of officials, judges, prosecutors, and other law enforcement officers and the "inseparable part of the Ukrainian anti-corruption mechanism."
The President acknowledges that neither the related law, nor the software is not perfect yet, but he thinks this should not serve the reason for delaying the launch and asks not to believe the rumors claiming it will be delayed.
On Thursday, August 11, representatives of the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption and UNDP experts presented the electronic declaration system to NABU detectives, hoping it becomes an effective anti-corruption mechannism.
