Interior Minister: National Police to Transfer to Hybrid Cars

On July 9, Interior Minister Avakov announced that the National Police would receive 651 new eco-friendly hybrid Mitsubishi Outlander crossovers.

According to the Minister, the respective decision was made on 7 July jointly by the Interior Ministry and Ecology Ministry. The initiative is supported by the government and private entities of Japan within the implementation of the Kyoto protocol. "The National Police will receive 651 new hybrid cars to replace old-style VAZ and UAZ vehicles," Avakov said.

He added that the new hybrid car has both a gasoline and electric engine, and unique technical features.
