Parliament Meeting Closed as Tribune Blocked

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy closed the afternoon meeting of Parliament just after it started. It was necessary to hold political consultations between its factions, he stated in the Parliament while the main tribune was blocked by Batkivschina and the Radical Party MPs.

"We need consultations to resume the work of Verkhovna Rada," he said as he praised MPs for important decisions made today to combat crime.

Speaking to journalists outside the meeting hall, leader of Batkivschina Yulia Tymoshenko stressed that they requested clear agenda on lowering gas tariffs.
