Famous low-cost airlines will be back in the Ukrainian market by the end of this year, but will start flying passengers only in 2017, Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelyan said on Hromadske.

The Minister says that the aviation market of Ukraine is coming back to life: some airports have increased their passenger traffic by 20%, the average increase for all airports in the country is 13%.

"More and more companies have had their requests approved. Right now, about 90% of new applicants have had their cooperation requests approved," the Minister said. He added that he is concerned with the policies of some regional airports, which approve requests from some companies and deny cooperation to others. The Ministry of Infrastructure is currently investigating the matter to prevent any impediment to free market.
