Ukrainian government appoints new Ukrainian Defence Industry Supervisory Board members

On 29 December, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the composition of the Supervisory Board of the Ukroboronprom state concern (now also known as Ukrainian Defence Industry, an association of multi-product businesses in various sectors of Ukraine's defence industry of Ukraine – ed.).

The Supervisory Board of Ukroboronprom has been joined by the following:

  • Oleksii Honcharuk, who served as Prime Minister of Ukraine from 2019-2020. Honcharuk is also the chairman of the supervisory board of the NGO Aerorozvidka (aerial reconnaissance – ed.) 
  • Tymofii Mylovanov, who is the President of the Kyiv School of Economics and former Minister of Economy. Mylovanov is also a former chairman of the Supervisory Board of Ukroboronprom.
  • Serhii Konovets, who is a former member of the Supervisory Board of Ukreximbank and the Management Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine. (the largest national oil and gas company of Ukraine – ed.) In addition, Konovets is a member of the Supervisory Board of the Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine.
  • David Lomdzhariia, a member of the Supervisory Board of Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways – ed.). Previously, Ekonomichna Pravda noted that Lomdzhariia is an executive director at Iberia Group, managing partner of Four Seas Trading and chairman of the supervisory board of SunEnergy Bank (all of these companies are located in Georgia).
  • Lynndy Smith, president and CEO of the Arizona Defence & Industry Coalition (AZDIC).

I am confident that together with Herman Smetanin, [the head of Ukroboronprom], the new Supervisory Board will successfully continue the transformation of Ukroboronprom into a transparent European defence holding company," Kamyshin added.
