Poroshenko Says Electronic Declarations Will Be Launched on August 15

Thursday, 11 August 2016, 11:23

President Petro Poroshenko claims that the mandatory electronic declaration of the property and funds of state officials will be launched on August 15 as planned, according to a statement on the President’s official website.

The President sees electronic declarations as an "effective means of control" of income and spending of officials, judges, prosecutors, and other law enforcement officers and as an "inseparable part of the Ukrainian anti-corruption mechanism."

The President acknowledges that neither the related law, nor the software is perfect yet, but he thinks this should not be a reason for delaying the launch and asks not to believe the rumors claiming it will be delayed.
