Sumy

Ukraine's Armed Forces seized a Russian flagship tank in Sumy. It was intact and the flag of the Russian Federation was still hoisted over it. The tank was previously used in Russian military parades.

An airstrike on the city of Sumy executed last night by Russian troops killed at least 9 people, 2 of them children.

Dmytro Zhyvytskyy, the Head of the Sumy Regional State Administration, reported that Russian forces dropped aerial bombs on Sumy and the surrounding vicinity after 11 pm on 7 March.

Fighting took place near Sumy on Sunday and Monday, resulting in casualties.

In Krasnopillya, a Russian military convoy arrived to exchange prisoners with Ukraine through the “Green Corridor”. Five Ukrainian territorial defence fighters were exchanged for one Russian officer.

Mayor of Romny, a town in Sumy oblast, Serhiy Salahun was caught accepting a ₴50,000 bribe, the press service of the Military Prosecutor’s Office of the Central Region informed on August 18, not mentioning the name of the mayor.
