Russian occupying forces are deploying tanks to attack the city of Mykolayiv near the Black Sea in southern Ukraine. 

The Governor of Mykolaiv region Vitaly Kim has said that "the invader simply doesn't have the resources" to occupy Ukrainian cities.

On Saturday, the National Guard of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed a Russian armoured vehicle and captured 4 Russian intelligence personnel, including 1 officer near Mykolaiv.

In Mykolayiv, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have forced the Russian invaders out of the city and have captured Russian military equipment.

On the outskirts of Mykolaiv near the Black Sea in southern Ukraine, fighting between the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Russian invaders continues. The Ukrainians have managed to drive Russian units from the Kulbakino Air Base.

Russian troops have advanced in Enerhodar in the Zaporizhia Region, and near the town of Voznesensk in the Mykolaiv Region, but in general Ukrainian forces maintain control of the situation.

Russian troops have entered Mykolaiv in Ukraine's south. They were met by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. A battle is taking place right now.

It is possible that Russian troops will attempt to storm Mykolayiv on Friday, 4 February.

An enemy landing party has landed in Mykolayiv around Balivny, people have been asked to leave the streets, and a curfew has been declared against further instructions.

An advance of the Russian invaders from the direction of Kherson is expected in Mykolayiv as of 12:00 AM on 28 February.

In Mykolaiv, the National Guard of Ukraine stopped ATB supermarket-labelled trucks. The Russian invaders were hiding in the trucks.

Pyrotechnicians of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) retrieved and destroyed 23 artillery shells and 2 anti-tank grenades from a battlefield in Mykolaiv.

Mykolaiv is preparing for circular defense of the city - 12 enemy tanks broke through from Kakhovka. There is also information on advances of other armed forces of the Russian Federation.

The air defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces repulsed the attacks of the Russian occupants on Mykolayiv.
