A state inspector of the customs clearance department of Chaplynka checkpoint was arrested in Kherson oblast on allegations of bribery, the Security Service of Ukraine reported on August 27.

Officials of a state-run company in Chernihivska Oblast transferred ₴1.8 million ($72,000) to private companies to build fortifications on the Ukraine-Russia border (the so-called ‘The Wall’ project), but the necessary construction was not completed.
