The Russian military have seized a pre-trial detention centre in temporarily occupied Kherson and plan to establish a Putin police regime in occupied territories.
On 9 March, Russian military forces entered Skadovsk in the Kherson region, locals were not allowed to visit the monument to famous Ukrainian poet, writer and artist Taras Shevchenko, and computers were taken out of the city council.
The Russian occupying forces have blocked the operation of the Chornobayi poultry farm, which holds 3 million chickens. On 6 March, the Russian forces fired at staff who were transporting feed for the farm. On Monday-Tuesday, the chickens will start dying of hunger.
Following the example of their regional centre Kherson, rallies are springing up in other Kherson regional towns like Nova Kakhovka, Novooleksiivka and Kalanchak. The residents in Troitske in the Luhansk region are taking to the streets as well.
Ukraine has loaded 30 trucks with humanitarian aid for the residents of Kherson region, however, the Russian occupying troops are preventing it from being delivered.

A state inspector of the customs clearance department of Chaplynka checkpoint was arrested in Kherson oblast on allegations of bribery, the Security Service of Ukraine reported on August 27.
