Kremlin: Ukraine will have to "pay the price" for recent actions
The Kremlin has claimed that Ukraine will have to "pay the price" for its actions over recent months and that Russian forces are already carrying out corresponding strikes.

Quote from Peskov: "I think the president [Putin] has set out our position quite exhaustively. That is the first point. Second, as the president also said, Ukraine will certainly have to pay the price for the actions that have taken place in recent months. That is what is happening right now." [N.B. Details: Peskov added that Russian forces are "striking those targets that they deem appropriate".
"We must ensure our security. We must guarantee that no one even thinks about voicing plans of a crushing attack on Russia in forty days, as was with Kyiv, for example. These are the national interests of the Russian Federation," Peskov said.
