Kherson government shows operation delivering 4 tonnes of food to occupied Oleshky – video
Ukrainian forces carried out one of their largest humanitarian aid delivery operations to the occupied town of Oleshky in Kherson Oblast, using drones to transport nearly 4,000 kilograms of food.

Details: The food supplies were delivered simultaneously across 100 designated locations in the town.
The Oblast Military Administration did not specify the exact date when the operation took place.
Units participating in the operation included the 30th Marine Corps, the Hrom tactical group, the 34th Borysfen Separate Marine Brigade, the 11th National Guard Brigade, the 34th National Guard Regiment and the 79th Border Guard Detachment.
The Oblast Military Administration noted that Ukrainian forces have been systematically delivering food to Oleshky across the Dnipro River via unmanned aerial vehicles since March.
According to the administration, around 2,000 people remain in the occupied town, including nearly 50 children.
The Oblast Military Administration also stated that Russian forces actively try to prevent aid delivery by shooting down food-bearing drones, confiscating or reselling provisions and detaining residents who receive humanitarian packages.
Background:
- On 19 September, the Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organisations (UCCRO) reported a critical humanitarian situation in the occupied town of Oleshky.
- The UCCRO said the last food supplies reached Oleshky in late May 2026. More than 6,000 people, including around 200 children, may still remain in Oleshky and the surrounding district, according to various estimates.
- Ukraine's 34th Marine Brigade posted a video showing temporarily occupied Oleshky in Kherson Oblast, describing it as "a city the Russians have turned into a ghost town".
