Putin envoy heads to US for talks with Trump officials – Reuters

Reuters has reported that Kremlin envoy Kirill Dmitriev is heading to the US on Wednesday 23 September for talks with representatives of the Trump administration, including Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner and others.

Details: The sources told Reuters that Dmitriev's visit to the US, which was agreed with Kremlin ruler Vladimir Putin, will take place in New York during the UN General Assembly and will follow up on Putin's meeting with the US representatives at the Kremlin earlier this month.

One of the agency's sources said the purpose of the visit is to maintain dialogue between Russia and the US and "keep the peacemaking effort going".

The source added that economic cooperation between Russia and the US, energy issues and a peaceful settlement of the situation in Ukraine will be on the agenda of Dmitriev's talks in New York.
