Russia attacks site of destroyed warehouse of one of Ukraine's largest pharmaceutical distributors

Russian forces launched two ballistic missiles on the ruins of a warehouse belonging to Optima-Pharm, one of Ukraine's largest pharmaceutical distributors, in Kyiv on the night of 7-8 September. The warehouse was destroyed by a Russian attack in 2025.

Details: The warehouse, on Kyiv's left bank, was empty at the time of the Russian strike. Early reports indicate that there were no casualties.

The warehouse was previously targeted in October 2025, when a Russian attack on Kyiv destroyed Optima-Pharm's warehouse complex and office. The company estimated its total losses from the destruction of the warehouse and products at more than US$100 million.

Optima-Pharm representatives told Ekonomichna Pravda in October 2025 that the amount of products destroyed was equivalent to about 20% of Ukraine's entire monthly supply of medicines.
