Details: The commander-in-chief noted that the admiral has visited Ukraine three times and has seen the situation on the ground.

"I briefed him on the situation on the front and our priorities: long-range strikes, flexible infantry tactics and the use of robotic systems on the front line. We also discussed air defence separately. Protecting the skies is my priority," Drapatyi said.

Background:

  • Earlier, commenting on Drapatyi's appointment as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, NATO stressed that the Alliance's strategy of supporting Ukraine remains clear and unwavering.
  • A spokesperson for NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Europe also told European Pravda that a meeting between Drapatyi and General Alexus Grynkewich, Supreme Allied Commander Europe and Commander of US European Command, is only a matter of time, as NATO is devoting considerable attention to Ukraine's defence.
