Details: The General Staff also noted that the Progress Rocket Space Centre is one of the key facilities in Russia's rocket and space industry and is involved in the production of the Soyuz family of launch vehicles.

According to the Ukrainian military, the facility's products are used, among other things, to put spacecraft into orbit and deploy Russian satellite communications constellations for the benefit of the Russian military.

The General Staff said that striking such facilities reduces Russia's military and technological capabilities.
