Russia has launched 76 jet-powered Shahed-type drones on Ukraine in one day

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 76 jet-powered Shahed-type UAVs during the day on 18 August, mostly targeting Kyiv Oblast.

Over 20 additional jet-powered UAVs have entered Ukrainian airspace since 18:30.
Background: An air-raid warning was issued in Kyiv for the ninth time on 18 August amid the threat of jet-powered drones. An explosion was heard in the city this evening, and the authorities reported that debris had landed in the courtyard of a residential building.
