Children to be mandatorily evacuated from 16 more settlements in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

On Tuesday 18 August, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Military Administration announced the mandatory evacuation of families with children from a further 16 settlements in the Mykolaivka, Petropavlivka and Ukrainske hromadas in the Synelnykove district. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

Details: Hanzha said that the National Police and charities are helping families relocate, choosing routes based on the security situation and using armoured vehicles and body armour.

"People are first taken to transit centres. Then, if necessary, they are provided with assistance in finding accommodation," Hanzha said.

Background: In June, the authorities announced the mandatory evacuation of families with children from 23 settlements in the Synelnykove district, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
