Zelenskyy: Ukrainian forces liberate 26 villages during offensive on Oleksandrivka front

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said Ukraine's military leadership had briefed him on the results of an operation on the Oleksandrivka front, during which Air Assault Forces troops, together with other units, liberated 26 villages in three oblasts between January and August.

Details: According to Zelenskyy, the active operations by Ukrainian forces inflicted significant losses on Russian troops. "Russian losses amounted to at least 9,550 killed and more than 6,600 wounded. Ukraine's 'exchange fund' was also replenished," he said.

Zelenskyy also said that 745 sq km of territory had been liberated during the operation. Twenty-six villages in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts were returned to Ukrainian control. "This offensive operation of ours was carried out with precision – exactly as planned," he noted.

Commander-in-Chief Mykhailo Drapatyi, Chief of the General Staff Ihor Skybiuk and Commander of the Air Assault Forces Oleh Apostol briefed the president on the results of the operation and the next steps.
